Obituary for George Malcolm Emory

George Malcolm  Emory
George Malcolm Emory, age 79, of Canton, GA passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and enjoyed working. Mr. Emory was also a loving husband of 56 years. He was a life time Georgia resident and had been in Cherokee County for 20 years. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in the Sixes Community.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, from the Hopewell Baptist Church with Pastor Norman Hunt, Pastor Ken Smith and Pastor John Harris officiating. Mr. Emory's body will be cremated following the service.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, September 25, 2016, and from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday, September 26, 2016 and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, September 26, 2016 and 11:00 AM until the Funeral Hour on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at the South Canton Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by, Parents: George and Lucille Emory Brother: Allen Emory

Survivors include:
Wife - Merle Emory, loving wife of 56 years.
Son - Kenneth and Josanne Emory
Son - Michael Emory
Daughter - Leisa Smith
Brothers - Butch, Jim, Stewart, Alton, Steve and Don Emory
Sister - Nancy Khory
Sister - Linda Hunter
Sister - Gail Wilcock
Grandchildren - Daniel, Matthew and Johnathon
Great Grand Children - Travis and Morgan

In lieu of flowers, Donations are to be made to the Hopewell Baptist Church Building Fund (Hopewell Baptist Church, 78 Ridge Road, Canton, Georgia 30114) in memory of Mr. Emory.
