Jewel  McAdams (Stokes)
Jewel McAdams, age 80, of Woodstock, GA passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Halcyon Hospice House in Sandy Springs. Jewel's passing was preceded by a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

She was born in Ellijay and lived in Smyrna for many years. Jewel married her husband, Clyde McAdams, in 1985 and they moved to Woodstock. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a bailiff with the Cobb County Sheriff's Office.

Jewel had lots of friends and was always ready to travel. With Clyde, she took many memorable vacations, including bus trips with Hopewell Baptist and Woodstock Baptist Church senior groups. She was a member of Woodstock Baptist Church.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, on Friday, February 17, 2017, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2017, and from to , at South Canton Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by, Parents-Joe and Mae Stokes of Ellijay

Survivors include:
Loving Husband - Clyde McAdams, Woodstock, Ga.
Daughter - Jerri (Paul) Stracener, Athens, Ga.
Daughter - Judy Priest, Pace, Fl.
Son - Joe Priest, Roswell, Ga.
Grandchildren - Kelly Stracener, Tim Stracener, Ali Priest
