The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lois Mauldin can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Ms. Mauldin was one of my favorite teachers at Cherokee High. I was class of 64. She made sure we left her class equipped. Rest in peace Ms. Mauldin.

Condolence: I wish I had known that Ms. Mauldin was still alive during some of my return trips to Canton. I owe her my career and the credit I receive from others for my writing and speaking skills using material written by me. I earned A's on all of my English courses at Auburn and I cannot say that for the courses I took in my major. I received the fastest promotions possible during my four years in the air force. During my now 41 years in the high tech private sector, I continue to receive kudos for well written proposals, outstanding presentations and seminars, and am I called "the professor" by my work peers when it comes to sentence structure and word usage advice. I would not achieved these skills and recognition without Ms. Mauldin's tireless efforts in the classroom.

Adieu, Ms. Mauldin, oh so many of your students owe you their thanks for establishing a baseline of proper written and spoken communications using the English language. May the Lord hold you in His arms and say well done.

Condolence: I didn't have Ms. Mauldin as a teacher, but I'm so glad that I got to know her when I used to wash her hair on Thursdays. She was a very sweet lady who I loved dearly. Rest in peace Ms. Mauldin. I look forward in seeing you again!
